2006 Florida Cajun zydeco festival

 Entertaiinment line up announced

 

(Deerfield Beach, FL) February 22, 2006 - The National Award Winning Bobby Rodriguez Productions announced the 2006 entertainment line up for one of the largest and most attended Cajun Zydeco festivals in the nation.  The 2006 Florida Cajun Zydeco festival will be held May 19 – 21 at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach.     

 

Entertainment includes continuous live cajun and zydeco music and a giant covered dance floor.  This years line up consist of Pine Leaf Boys, The Yard Dogs, Rosie Ledet and the Zydeco Playboys, The Porchdogs, Charivari, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band, Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers, Terrence Simien and the Zydeco Experience, and many more.

 

In addition to live music and dancing, patrons can enjoy thousands of pounds of live crawfish and participate in traditional activities such as, watermelon sacrifices, daily crawfish eating contests, and of course - enjoy plenty of authentic hot ’n’ spicy cajun/creole food served by area restaurants. Kids will have fun too, as they can experience the Kajun Kidz Zone, complete with rides, arts and crafts and activities for the under 10 crowd.

 

The Florida Cajun Zydeco Festival will be held May 19 – 21; Friday 5:30 pm – 11:30 pm, Saturday 11:30 am – 11:30 pm, and Sunday 11:30 am -7 pm, and is located at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, Florida.  Prices for adults are $20.
