![]() Easily the queen of southwest Louisiana's rootsy Creole zydeco scene, the 28-year-old singer/songwriter is a rare woman in a male-dominated genre. And her musical roots are tied to the blues. Her sound is built on hoarse, repeating squeezebox riffs, and the family band takes their punchy rhythms on the road for as many as six weeks at a stretch.
